The shape of a dog’s face suggests how long it will live. Dogs with
sharp, pointed faces that look more like wolves typically live longer.
Dogs with very flat faces, such as bulldogs, often have shorter lives.[
I do not train dogs. I train their owners. I write and read about dogs and all dog matters fascinate me. I am a member of the Société Royale Saint Hubert.

I would imagine because dogs with shorter squashed faces cannot breathe properly.
I think that's true. Often that kind of breed has respiratory and heart problems.
