I received this picture with the caption : "Please adopt me". Dogs like young children suffer from separation anxiety. Destructive behaviour is a sympton of this.

My dog Snoopy used to hate being left alone. I could never even pop out to the supermarket for an hour wihout feeling guilty, let alone any longer. Dogs are pack animals, when all is said and done, and need to be with others, if at all possible. Leaving them for very long periods is not acceptable.
