Researchers have found that swimming with dolphins appears to help alleviate mild to moderate depression. They say dolphins' friendly appearance and the emotions raised by the experience may have healing properties. Some have speculated that the ultrasound emitted by dolphins as part of their echolocation system may have a beneficial effect. Dolphins are highly intelligent animals who are capable of complex interactions, and regard humans positively. What about dogs?

How interesting, as seen in the picture, I have read that dolphins and dogs can actually become friends.
In Ireland, a local dog which swam in the sea daily befriended a dolphin and are often seen swimming together.
Those two look as if they are getting on swimmingly (pardon the pun)!
As I understand it, there is now evidence that swimming with dolphins is NOT good for the dolphins causing them extreme stress as they calm us down...why can't we leave our wildlife alone? Much better to go swimming with our dogs.
Such a cool picture! I would like to swim with the Dolphins myself!
